NAGA and Hamburger SV Became Partners

The crypto sector continues to impress the sports industry, and the collaboration between NAGA and Hamburger SV is one of the proofs.

NAGA LogoThe company that “builds disruptive business models” as described on its website, NAGA, is thrilled to announce a new collaboration. The financial company is committed to supporting the football team HSV Fußball AG in the 2018-2019 Bundesliga season. As a partner, NAGA will be an important presence at the club’s Volksparkstadion – being in charge of promoting the football team. Furthermore, NAGA will manage the statistics on football matches, both on board and the media platforms.

Speaking about the collaboration, NAGA Executive Director Benjamin Bilski pointed out that:

“We are a company with headquarters in Hamburg, but above all, we are globally oriented — just as cosmopolitan as Hamburg itself, and HSV with its international team. Our values and entrepreneurial attitudes are a perfect match, especially as HSV is open to new technologies, which is exactly what NAGA stands for. Because we are very familiar with statistics and technology, sophisticated and constantly new applications play a big role in our success.”

In addition, Alexander Braune, Head of Business Development at NAGA, went on stating:

“Together we want to move towards new goals. With a complete restart, HSV is creating the basis for successfully completing the new season – via a strategic approach that we, as an innovative company, absolutely share in the ethos of. We are proud to be accompanying HSV on its journey to a successful future.”

NAGA is not the only one who prides itself on the new collaboration. Frank Wettstein, CFO of HSV Fußball AG expressed his positive opinion on the new partnership pointing out that:

“We are very pleased to have such an innovative partner as the NAGA Group at our side. Together we want to write a brand-new success story.”

Johannes Haupt, Senior Director Team Hamburg SV at Lagardère Sports, commented:

“We are delighted to have won over an innovative new partner from a dynamic and promising industry for HSV. We have developed a comprehensive package of services tailored to the company’s objectives, with a special focus on digital communication, enabling exciting projects along the path of our long-term cooperation. We are convinced that in the course of this partnership, both sides won’t only benefit from each other, but will also be able to learn from each other.”

Is it a trend?

NAGA is not the first company to collaborate with a football team. The statement comes less than a month after the cryptocurrency exchange CoinDeal announced it will sponsor the English sports club Wolverhampton Wanderers during the entire league 2018-2019.

Furthermore, it seems that sports teams are interested in collaborating with crypto-related projects not only for promotion purposes but also for charity. As reported by Coindoo.com on 28 June, the popular basketball club Sacramento Kings was releasing a charity program that aims to mine Ethereum.

Is it a trend or not?! The fact is that blockchain and cryptocurrencies continue to attract the attention of all sectors.
